DescriptionFirst linear flexible LED luminaire for outdoor architectural lighting with a perfectly homogeneous and dot-free light surface. The innovation brought by this 2 dimensions bendable light lines opened new doors in lighting design which were unreachable by any luminaires back then. The products of the VarioLED™ Flex VENUS family are opal encapsulated protected flexible LED design light lines with a cross section of 16 mm x 15 mm (Top View, bending direction vertically) or 10 mm x 20.5 mm (Side View, bending direction horizontally) and max. length of 5,000 mm. Depending on the version it can be delivered in lengths of multiples of 62.5 mm or 125 mm. Products of the VENUS family provide a lamp life time up to 60,000 hours, glare and dot free LED illumination, a luminous flux of 1.330 lumen/m and a color rendering (CRI) of up to 95. The product comes in various color temperatures of white, red, green, blue, yellow, RGB and Tunable White. In short, a flexible LED light line with outstanding look and feel and technical lighting properties. VENUS can be used for various in- and outdoor applications from furniture design to facade illumination. Easy installation, high flexibility (bending radius of R = 15 cm) and a rugged design for harsh environments (e. g. resistant to saltwater, UV and solvents) are further outstanding product benefits. The utilized polyurethane features a 5 times higher chemical resistance and a 10 times lower water transmission compared to typical silicones for LED applications in the relevant temperature range (-50°C to 80°C).
