The five year long redevelopment of the South Atrium of the Auckland War Memorial Museum opened in 2020.
The 13m diameter lower rim of the suspended 'bowl', along with the twisting and curving ceiling channels and the stair handrails have been all been illuminated with variants of the LED Linear VarioLED Flex Skylla family.
The bowl perimeter with Skylla Side View, runs over 50m of seamless dot-free light. The ceiling channels utilize the new Skylla 3D which can follow the changing horizontal and vertical direction of the channels.
The stairs have the Skylla Top View variant concealed in the stair capping.
Skylla is the highest output option delivering around 1000 lumens/m. While used here in an interior application, the Skylla family is PU encapsulated with an IP67 rating and can also be used for full exterior applications.
